Practice in your mind with hypnosis for Better Golf
Now I am confused about golf and how much it leads to better golf. More important Moreover, to what extent the improvement is good for golf? I'm confused because I keep getting conflicting advice from books I'm reading, television programs I see and the things I'm browsing the web.
Since a low handicap golfer over 40 years, I've done a lot of fieldwork practice and there were many kinds of golf lot of good coaches - some of the best in the world in his day. However, I know that much of the technical advice I received left me confused and incoherent.
Since qualifying as a hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner, I now know that much of old advice that led me to play golf almost entirely in my conscious mind. And that's about as far from being in the zone as you can get! A bit like having a driving instructor sitting next to you side for the rest of his life, which reminds him exactly what to do - when to indicate, changing gears, looking in the mirror, etc.
So what I was confused now - I read about Muhammad Ali
Well, for starters, here I am reading an article about Muhammad Ali and in the middle saying: "I am the greatest", which slides very sincere in this quote:
"Champions are not made in gyms. Champions are made from something that have deep inside them: a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they must have the ability and will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. "Muhammad Ali
Now I have to agree with this as when Ali talks about being in the ring, it is clear that he was in a very altered state. I can not remember the exact quote, but one of my favorite memories of him was to talk about what felt like I was watching his own struggle at the top of each of the four corners of the ring and it was as if he could "see" their opponents muscles move back long before the signs of shock front that was coming. After that, "Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" seemed quite mundane.
So what happened - I read about the practice of Tiger Routine
A little later, I'm reading about how Hank Haney told the audience at the Golf Channel on a typical day of golf practice for one of his students. Yes, you guessed it is talking about Tiger Woods. However, according to Haney, Tiger's schedule here.
06:00-07:30 Lifting weights at the gym
07:30-09:00 Breakfast
09:00-11:00 hitting balls on the range
11:00-11:30 Putting practice
11:30-12:30 playing 9 holes of golf
12:30-13:00 Lunch
13:00-15:00 Hitting more balls on the range
15:00-16:00 Work on your short game
16:00-17:00 Play a 9-hole golf of
17:00-17:30 hitting the ball more in the range
17:30-18:00 put more practice
So when Tiger that do all their work with Jay Brunza, his golf psychologist? I suspect there with Tiger when he is practicing. And I bet he's helping to rebuild her unconscious resources at the same time. Why did not anyone tell me about all this golf psychology 40 years ago?
What do I think about practice?
I'm going into this in great detail in my forthcoming book, "Secrets of Golf hypnotic." For now, I can say I've come for the Next to "best golf without practice." Alex Morrison published a book with that title in 1940 and its messages are still true today.
Then, Who is Alex Morrison? Well, it was hailed as the greatest golf teacher of his day, by far, and had his own golf school in New York. Trained many great players like Henry Picard, 26-time winner on the PGA Tour and won the 1938 Masters and PGA Championship in 1939. He also taught many celebrities, including Bing Crosby and Bob Hope. Swing wonderfully soft and slow Bing Any of you old enough to have been's? It was right in their efforts, through the death of play golf at the age of 73.
Oh, yes, there is an important link between Alex Morrison and my world of golf in mind - perhaps his greatest contribution to the golf. The trained certain Charlie Nicklaus, father of golf legend Jack Nicklaus ...
