Golf Tee Off: first tee nerves?

I play in lots and lots of golf tournaments, and have been playing for a long time, about 5 years. A student first-year college, my handicap is 8. I got a lot of state tournaments and stuff, and usually my first tee off is horrible. In my first drive, I do duck hooks, blocks, mishits, etc., which usually results to a double bogey. This is due to nerves. Everyone watching, a lot of pressure .... Any tips or advice to help me keep calm about my tee shot in the first place?

It's funny because you ask a question of mind and all the club tells the world below. The first tee jitters, even with a pre-shot routine can kill an entire atmosphere around the tournament or not. This is the time to really focus on the routine. Run the routine the same way every time. Do not take more time on the first hole of the box ... is not routine. The same routine every shot. Once that all people and all pressure which does not even matter. Moreover, what really helped was knowing that the club I'm going to hit on the first tee and make the last club in the range of my heating. Views in the club of the range before leaving the first tee. Focus on solid contact and swing slower than you feel necessary. Remember that adrenaline is good, Stress is bad. Do not let nerves affect the muscles and the ability to relax.
