Why does the EU want Turkey to join when the peoples of Europe do not want this?

I totally object to Turkey because it is not in Europe. I despise the EU leaders to try to get Turkey in anway. Turkey should stay out (and must end the occupation of Kurdistan).

I am convinced that the integration of Turkey is necessary for the EU. Turkey is a country with marked social and religious differences "existing" Europe. A bridge "diplomatic" between the EU and the Middle East is nonsense. No one can act as a bridge between the two, as long as the United States exercises considerable influence over Israel. The EU is still finding its way with the 25 member states. Let the process continue before the introduction of another country undoubtedly have their own demands. Turkey belongs to Europe. People can talk of an economic union and in this sense there is no problem, but the EU of today is much larger that. It is a cultural unity as well, and Turkey does not share a European or Christian culture. These are the facts. Can you imagine a Europe on the border of Syria and Iraq?
