waldorf salad recipe that is sweet and without celery?

When I was a kid, I remember helping my mom prepare the waldorf salad. I remember Cool Whip, miracle whip, walnuts, grapes and diced apples. Do not remember much more than they put into it. All the recipes I've found has celery in it. Memory she did not have in it. I wish I had your recipe, a little late for that. Please, if you have a recipe to share. This was also served more as a dessert not as a basis for a chicken / turkey / etc. salad.
