Format conversion - is this possible?

This will sound retarded to Anyone in the biz rippin But I'm still learnin. For the second time I lost my CD collection Entire of my favorite band, Of Which I Had Every CD. I like a turkey Panicked Before the nite Thanksgivin the first time I lost them! So when i finally Recovered them, I Decided to copy them so That if it ever again I Would Have Happened to backup. Well crapola, I done lost them again But the copies in WMA format copied Were Without the protection removed. I'm sure you-can kinda guess my next question. Is There anyway to convert my precious collection Into WAV or MP3 format, while They Are in protected WMA format or am I just screwed? I Tried everything I know to no avail. Thanks.

Oh yes. Protected Becomes a "Protect Once you burn them, Then you are free to go Into your music player (iTunes or WMP, for instance) and change the format at will. It will tell you how in Help, Because it is Different for Every player.
